To learn where a vehicle has been towed, call the Towed Vehicle Locator office at (202) 541-6083 or go to http://dpw.dc.gov/service/locate-towed-vehicle. • Came into work anyway…streets empty, donut shop empty, lots of parking. Hey worst comes to worse I’ll take the Metro home. Meanwhile I get paid double for coming in and am way to bored at home.

    • Paid double for coming in on a snow day? Didn’t know such a policy existed. Seems dangerous to provide that incentive. I guess if you’re essential, then getting extra pay for your extra effort makes sense.

  • Goodbye summer vacation.

  • And my trash got picked up this morning!

  • Came into work to make an int’l call for work (my colleagues don’t have good access to internet so Skype is not an option, and I can’t use my cell for int’l calls). The office is empty and peaceful. No lines anywhere. Roads were not bad yet. No traffic. But I really want to head home as soon as I can before the roads worsen.

    • Could you use Google Voice? It seems worth paying to make long distance calls if you don’t have to go into the office when the weather stinks.

      • I had to patch multiple people in (all int’l calls) so if that is allowable, then that would work for the future! Glad to be home now, though.

  • maxwell smart

hmph! no snow day for me.
