  • Can’t wait! He is a great author that is able to capture the essence of DC, not only the history, but also the changes DC now faces! If anyone here hasn’t read any of his books or seen the Wire, they are highly recommended!

    • I can’t get past his insufferable namedropping of DC bands which tends to get in the way of the narrative rather than enhance it. And the only thing “realistic” about the Nick Stefanos stories was the misogyny. Pass.

      • Not to mention all the insufferable mentions of obscure street names or neighborhoods. And 90% of the people at this event will be pestering him with questions about The Wire, even though he actually worked on very little of it.

  • The office of one of his main characters, Derek Strange, is at 9th and Upshur!
