910 Bladensburg Road, NE
A little over a couple months old – I finally checked out W.S. Jenks & Son’s new Trinidad location near H Street, NE. The folks were super nice and the place is stocked with all your hardware needs:
“Established in 1866, W.S. Jenks is Washington’s most complete source for Tools, Hardware, and Machinery”
And the space is huge – was on old car showroom. And W.S. Jenks is super old with some great history:
“2014 – W.S. JENKS & SON moves to a new 20,000 sf location with a new emphisis on the local hardware experience. In addition to our government and commerical sales, our new retail showroom is a unique shopping experience. Visit us and see why we are not just another hardware store.
After 146 Years WS JENKS & SON has earned the reputation as “Washington’s Oldest Hardware Store” and is the finest in Industrial, Woodworking, Contractor and Electronic Assembly Tool sales. Whether the order was placed by Mr. Morse’s telegraph or Mr. Bell’s telephone or today’s E-mail, we look forward to continued growth in the future, while giving our customers prompt, personal service and attention.”
Check out tons of photos after the jump including some sweet old history (botanic gardens ledger from early 1900s and tons more) – oh yeah there are plans for an eventual partnership with a restaurant (nobody in particular yet) to lease the space for a roof top restaurant and bar – but that’s way down the road – but when it comes…

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.
You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
