  • I’m guessing small square footage. More like an efficiency or “junior 1 bedroom”.

    • I have this pet peeve about real estate listings, particularly new ones, posting photos without furniture. I always wonder if it’s done on purpose to hide how small these units really are.

I’d rather have no furniture then the ones that clearly took no effort to tell the existing tenant they are photographing the unit. Because nothing sells the space quite like seeing it covered in someone’s mess.

They forgot to advertise the drunks and hookers at your front door.

And those are some very flattering photos of the surrounding area. You’d never guess it to be filled with drunks cat calling at 10 AM + religious fanatics/Enterprise Rent a car salespeople. Nice work!

and I am guessing the constant aroma of Chinese Food.

  • If these are reasonably sized – ie actually a 1 BR and not a “JR” 1 BR, then I think that’s a pretty good deal, particularly for the rear-facing units with balconies. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is a big sell….at least for this guy, who’s getting sick of trudging to his building’s basement to do laundry in overused communal machines.

  • I live in the area and love it. That block of 14th St gets some interesting foot traffic for sure, but it is a great location with lots of new stuff coming in soon. It is always hard to tell from photos how good the reno was though. And, srsly elizml, you expect them to stage a rental apartment with furniture? I don’t think it is to hide anything, it is probably just empty… Would be nice to see square footage though.

  • What a beautiful facade restoration! And, the third story pop-up on this beauty is a winner! Thanks to the owners for doing a great renovation and addition.
