    It’s really lovely – but you can buy a house for that money, and not have the associated condo fee…

  • Not a good deal unless I’m missing something here. The condo fee is really really high (a rate that usually indicates poor management / inadequate reserves), and you can get a nice house for that price in NW, or if you want to live in more urban setting, you can at least get a place with a private roof deck.

  • I would say no. That’s a ridiculously high condo fee (even if it includes utilities, etc.) and you can probably get a house for that much.

  • My guess is that the target market for this unit is a wealthy couple, probably retired, who could easily afford a house but don’t want the hassle of maintaining one — the kind of people who might live in the Watergate.
