GDoN? “2 levels of top finishes” edition

This unit is located at 301 K St, NE (across the street from the Indigo, we’ve been monitoring its construction here. Glad to get a look inside.) The listing says:

“Another Amazing Dila Construction project in one of DC’s hottest neighborhoods. 2 levels of top finishes – wood floors, “wood” tiles, granite, marble, stainless steel, recess lights, shaker cabinets, solid core wood doors, and so much more. High ceilings, in unit front loading washer/dryer, great closet space, beautiful design and mere blocks to everything you need to live the true city life!”

You can see more photos here.

This 2 bed/2 bath is listed at $599,000 ($264 monthly fee.)

  • As someone who lives in a middle unit rowhouse, I can’t tell you how much I’m swooning over all those windows. I know it actually makes the layout a little awkward, but that’s ok for those windows!

As for the actual place/price. $400/square foot for a two bedroom basement condo at this location. Sounds about right.

  • I like a lot of the materials (flooring, tiles), but that main level looks like a bowling alley.

  • Nice finishes, but – I say this as someone looking for housing appropriate for children – BASEMENT BEDROOMS! We need to get out of here if $600k buys us basement bedrooms (and only 3).

That said, also not much “living” space shown, but maybe I’m missing it

I like how this turned out, but did they have to cheap out and not put a 2 story deck on?

  • I’m not that crazy about the facade, but I like that the house has a certain modest simplicity about it, which intrigues me.. I wish more new construction could hit that right.

  • Someone just bought a renovated rowhouse near me in Petworth for $550K. Seems like there’s better cheaper housing if you are willing to ride to metro to Georgia ave or Fort Totten.
