  • Yikes- that is definitely frightening, especially because it happened in my neighborhood! The person was probably just on her way home from work. How awful- I guess the early darkness is providing cover for these bold criminals. This is a good reminder to be careful out there, no matter what time of day.

  • So scary! This is two blocks from my house and I was walking my dog at exactly that time. I agree that getting dark so early does appear to embolden would-be criminals – yet another reason to despise winter…..

kind of a rough spot – this is right by the big public housing building and a block from the blue rehab/half-way house.

    • You do realize that the big public housing building is for senior citizens, right? I’m pretty sure they’re not out there doing crap like this.

“And then he pointed something at me! I think there was a tennis ball at the end of it!”

      • “….and then he attacked me with a Pickleball paddle! It was awful!” 🙁

Perhaps he means the Capitol East apartments.

        I kid. I live there….
many of my old neighbors from the building moved down to the place on G. I did notice a lot of police in the neighborhood this morning (i worked late last night) I wondered what happened…
