  • They closed back in August but created a Capitol Hill Knitting Guild as space for their knitting community to continue.

    • OK I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this happened months ago. A little late on breaking this news…

My philosophy has always been – if it’s news to me it’s probably news to someone else too. No need to be rude about it – knitters are supposed to be kinder than that. Best, Dan

I didn’t realize they had closed- it had been while since i’ve been there. now i feel even more guilty 🙂

        • I don’t think raeface was being rude, but I do think your response to her was. Her comment is no indication that she isn’t kind.

  • I thought they’d closed a while ago. It was a great little store, and I always tried to patronize it, but as someone who only completes a couple knitting projects a year I certainly wasn’t keeping it afloat.

  • I never went to The Knitting Loft because it’s not particularly convenient for me. I like Looped Yarn Works just north of Dupont, if people are looking for another option.
