More Details on New Restaurant from CityZen’s former Chef coming to 7th Street

1015 7th Street, NW

Some more info on the new restaurant from the chef of CityZen coming to 7th Street by the Passenger. The placard says:

“New contemporary American restaurant serving an A la Carte menu with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service, featuring a lower level with fine dining, which offers a seasonal tasting menu. Live entertainment may be provided for special events. Seating is for 200 patrons and the total occupancy load is 550. Sidewalk Café with seating for 20 patrons.”

A peek in the window reveals they still have a ways to go before opening:

  • I thought all of this was going to be torn down, hence The Passenger and Hogo leaving.

  • I’m confused. If the building is going to stay, why did Hogo and The Passenger leave? I don’t know the area, so maybe it’s another site.

  • I believe the development will need to access the back end of the Passenger and Hogo but not this building nor the one that Living Social was once in.

    • This is correct. The facades and front ends are staying. The backs of the buildings will be torn down to allow for integration into the new construction that will front NY Ave.
