  • dosent seem like a bad deal at all

  • Walmart is now a selling feature?

Kind of far out for a group home of youngins, but it’s a nice place for a family to rent.

  • Misleading ad. This is a mile and a half from the Petworth metro station. No normal person considers that “near.” Note – I happily live in a location widely regarded as even less convenient to transit and amenities than this, and I use the metro every day. I’m not one of these people who expects to walk out their front door and be at the metro station. Just pointing out the facts.

  • Accountering

The “above DC Voucher amount” was a clever (and possibly illegal?) way of saying they don’t have an interest in a section 8 tenant. Not a very smart move TBH to be that obvious about it.

Clever is not the right word, I meant it was an interesting

    • It’s not illegal to price your place above the voucher amount or to say so.

I’d rather see that than the people who write “section 8 welcome!” on places too expensive to use a voucher. That
      a) makes me think the landlord doesn’t understand basic housing law
      b) makes people think section 8 is available for luxury apartments, which it isn’t.

  • “Close to Walmart” — yes. “Close to Georgia Ave.-Petworth station” — no. The cross street is Kennedy, for heaven’s sake!

  • The price is too high, evidenced by the fact that it’s been on the market most of the summer.
