  • These seven beautiful houses on 13th and Harvard Streets were built in 1897 by L.E. Breuninger, who was quite prolific and specialized in small sets of upscale houses in NW. These houses have a cleaner, brighter look than rowhouses previously built in DC. By 1905 stonecarving would disappear altogether from DC rowhouses, and by 1907 no developer would build a rowhouse in DC without a porch across at least 2/3 of the front.
