  • I agree- the building is beautiful. I think this price is spot on for the area. Not sure of the Sqr Footage, but it looks like the bedrooms are decently sized. I think this will go fast.

  • It’s lovely, but I would hate to pay that much and not have in-unit laundry.

  • I love it, and it’s actually less expensive than I would have guessed.

  • Sooo pretty! The location is great and I definitely think this will go fast.

  • I believe that’s the building where Christopher Hitchens lived.

  • Underpriced even without laundry and parking. Will probably sell closer to 530-545.

I’m not in awe, but it looks nice. I personally wouldn’t pay that to live here, but it should be relatively easy to find comps since it doesn’t look like much work has been done to this particular unit.

  • Worked for someone who lived in this building and attending a couple parties in his unit. Lovely place, but “short stroll” from the metro isn’t entirely accurate. Not that my boss cared, he had his own driver. The bathroom in this particular unit is blah, and my experience with in-unit central A/C is that it is LOUD. Not digging the kitchen, but those built-in bookshelves are awesome.

    • I mean, it is less than half a mile/less than 10 minutes from the red line…. that definitely counts as a short stroll for the able-bodied!

      • You walk down hill to Dupont in the morning; walk downhill from Woodley at night. You literally get to walk downhill both ways. Win.

  • I Dont Get It

When I first moved to DC I dated someone, whose caricature at the time was on the wall at The Palm, who lived in this building. I felt like “Pretty Woman.”

  • Gorgeous place and those views must be amazing. Seriously, this is a helluva deal. The common charges are way less than I would expect of a building of this vintage. The finances must be very well managed.

  • Have spent time in this building and been in this unit. The AC is not loud, and the kitchen is renovated really nicely. I like the original (well, renovated in in the 40’s I think) Wyoming bathrooms – the big deep tubs – these white bathrooms are easily personalized with paint and/or colorful things. The living/dining room narrows at the end and could be tad bigger – but this is not a problem if you use one of the bedrooms as a study/den/ guestroom. It is definitely a short walk to the metros about 1/2 mile to Dupont, and just a tad further from Woodley Park – Dupont is definitely closer. The views really are great, you never tire of looking out the windows in the direction this unit faces.
