Bodega coming to renovated space next to former Tibet Shop and Future Coffee Shop/Deli on Georgia Ave

3211 Georgia Avenue, NW

Thanks to all who sent emails about the new 7 Days Convenience Store coming to the renovated space next door to the (gotta be coming soon?) coffee/deli jam coming to the former Tibet store.

  • I’m so glad they are offering convenience.

  • It looks very nice inside, which is not something I can say for the dozen other bodegas/corner stores along that stretch of Georgia Ave. Apparently there is no saturation point for convenience stores.

    • “Apparently there is no saturation point for convenience stores.” I wish there were. I wonder if this one will have plexiglass like the others?

  • love how much the sign looks like the 7-11 sign

  • I live on Keefer PL. Admittedly, I haven’t been inside yet (unclear to me if it is or isn’t open). The outside, though, looks quite generic and, frankly, disappointing (ugh, the sign). Hopefully I’m wrong. It would be nice to actually have a nice convenient store in the area.

  • “They’re McDonald’s, I’m McDowell’s. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds.”

  • Thank goodness, I was beginning to worry that there weren’t enough “convenient” places on Georgia Ave to hang out drink and smoke weed in public

  • but seriously how many stores selling convenient crap can a 6 block stretch support? I guess we’ll see
