Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 3-4 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“Chewy in Adams Morgan”

“Archibald from Petworth. We saved Arch from the streets when he was a baby. He thanks us by getting rid of our pesky flowers.”

“This is Duke and Duchess, also known as “The Royals of N Arlington”. Little Duchy doesn’t let her size stop her from trying to do everything just like her big brother! They were both adopted from City Dogs Rescue in DC.”

    Very cute pups!
How kind of Archibald to help you with your flower problem!

  • omg Chewy is ADORABLE! I just love senior pups!

  • Love that kitty with the zinnias. Great picture.

  • Oh no, are those lilies in Arch’s picture? I hope not! PSA to cat owners — lilies are VERY dangerous for cats. Dupont Vet Clinic said in a newsletter last year that “[a] variety of lilies can cause acute kidney failure in cats. Eating even the smallest amount can cause life-threatening illness. If you have cats, it’s recommended you not even bring a lily into your home!”

If those aren’t lilies, still an important FYI for the furfamily… My poor Rusty (previously featured on POPville) has kidney issues, likely from something he ingested as a stray before coming to live with me.

  • Aw, they’re all lovely.

  • Duke and Duchess are absurdly adorable.

  • Great fix today. SO cute! Love Duke’s mini-me – what an adorable pic!!
