  • This is a cool organization that aims to educate and provide fresh food for low-income DC residents.

    • I went to this event last year, and it was great! Unique to be out on an urban farm with interesting folks, tasting delicious food and hearing live music – all while supporting a fantastic organization. A great way to spend $50!

  • More details would be good. $50.00 is a fairly big price – what does one get for that? How much is tax-deductible as a contribution? You’re competing with (at least) a dozen other worthy neighborhood organizations – make us want to be there!

    • Victoria — Good points!

Local chefs, local beer, local farm if this event was more local it would be in your living room!!

Some details, the night will include:
      • Tasty farm-fresh food prepared by local chefs from B.Lin Catering, Blind Dog Bakery, Mothership, Nutrition Synergies, and Smoke & Barrel with bread provided by Bread Furst
      • Craft beer provided by Right Proper Brewing Company
      • Farm tours lead by our enthusiastic youth interns
      • Live jazz music by Pete Muldoon
      • Special honoree, Joe Yonan, Washington Post Food & Travel Editor

I’m not sure exactly how much of the ticket is tax deductible. Will report back when I find out.
