News this big can’t wait until lunch!

ShopHouse will follow the successful June opening of Shake Shack in Union Station. Updates when they get closer to opening.

And in other ShopHouse news – don’t forget every Sunday in August, Capital Bikeshare members get a free bowl.

  • Wish we had a union station where I work! Sooo many lunch options.

    • I wish Union Station in 2009/2010 was what it is now. Back then (when I worked in the area) the options were the food court (gross at the time), Corner Bakery, and ABP. Not much better than the surrounding area (Subway, and another, dirty, ABP). It was a lunch wasteland.

  • Any guesses where they’re putting it? If I were them I’d go with the vacant Yo Sushi space.

    • It’s either the former Yo Sushi space or the former B. Smith’s space, so I’d wager Yo Sushi. Would be nice if the terrible Thunder Grill vacated so they could bring in someone like Nando’s. I was pulling for Nando’s to take the Yo Sushi space.

      • Yo Sushi seems likely. That hall has basically become the fast casual area. B. Smith’s seems too big.

  • maxwell smart

What would be even better news is if A: places in Union Station were open earlier in the morning and/or actually opened on time. Einsteins for instance claims on their website that the Union Station location opens at 4am. I routinely take the 6am Acela and more often then not, they don’t open until sometime after 5am, and I mean sometime in that it’s never the same time everyday. B: places in Union Station stayed open later. Again, I get off the train just before 10pm and nothing is open. I mean, I don’t expect 24 hour service at Union Station, but there should be options for early travel / late arrival.

  • Great picture. For whatever reason, the link to ianseanlivingston is incorrect.
