  • Odd set of pics–2 of the washer, or is it the dryer? More of the basement and stairwell than the main rooms. the header suggests–easy to get away from here (which you might want to do), but you can go to ball games if you want.

  • I DON’T THINK THIS PERSON KNOWS WHAT A WALK-OUT BASEMENT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What does “stainless steal” mean? That the items were procured through theft, but that it would be impossible for the police or true owner to identify the goods and prove the crime?

  • I don’t really understand why a buyer would care if it “shows well.” They’re not looking to list it. Makes it seem like its flaws are easily hidden. And maybe if they didn’t use so many exclamation points they would have accurately spelled remodeled.

  • So many cons:
*While I guess you might be able to fit a car behind the house, if you look at the Property lines n the DC Atlas, there’s really not a lot of actual property behind the house. The picture is taken from the public alley.
*Also, there’s no way that’s 1560 square feet. The property records have it at 780. That’s what I imagine the first two floors are. How they double that I have no idea.
*There’s no room to add a deck or any structure behind because lot coverage is already an existing non-conformity.
    Pros:
*It’s a whole rowhouse with a basement near a metro. So, yeah, $675k isn’t too far from what they’ll end up with.

  • YES!!! thank you for featuring this house!! i live nearby and the house was originally on the market for $740K which is ABSURD. not that $675K is really much better…

  • Given that it hasn’t been staged. it actually doesn’t show well at all.

  • I was puzzled by “HARWOOD”

  • buyers’ agents would care if it shows well. keep in mind that these listings were originally intended for real estate agents as the audience, which shows in how ridiculous many of them still are. lots of those folks still around.

  • This place doesn’t even beg the question “good deal or not.” Not. Just not. Trulia says this place is 780 square feet. Be very careful with sellers listing square footage since they’ll often will add in a finished basement. Don’t really care if you put down tile and drywall, but people don’t pay full price for basement square footage.

At nearly $900 a square foot I’ll spend the $3.50 and take Metro to the Nats game, thank you.

  • I think it’s just a typo
