Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 3-4 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“Last summer my cat Lucy, then named Pickles, was on PoPville via Homeward Trails. As you can see, since then she’s come to rule both Lanier Heights and the skies with an iron fist (paw?). I’ll never need an alarm as long as she’s around, tapping me on the eyes to wake up and feed her deli meat. Such a weird, wonderful cat!”

  • Aww, another Frenchie! Paisley is so cute.

  • I am SOOOO excited you got Pickles AKA Lucy. It was that darling face that prodded me into looking for a cat after my Milo died earlier in 2013. I lucked into my Bean who was featured in an Animal Fix in October.

(P.S. did the kitty get into the Nip)

    • That’s so great to hear! I also lost a cat in 2013 and wasn’t quite sure I was ready to adopt so I went in with the intention to just foster but that lasted literally 4 hours. Maybe less. “Pickles” didn’t seem like a very feminine name for such a pretty little cat and my mom suggested Lucy. As you can see, Lucy reacts to catnip like humans react to PCP.

Congrats on your cat! That’s awesome that you also saw yours on this site.

  • is Lucy rolling around in cat nip? lol

    that would explain the face

Lyle, don’t be a traitor. USA!

  • All of the animals are really cute today. I especially like the fact that Lucy found her home thanks to PoP featuring her on here- that’s awesome! Lyle is adorable.

Lyle, Germany or the Netherlands. Those are your only 2 choices! Don’t trust your human, trust me.
Happy Lucy got her forever home. She’s so pretty.
I want to scratch Paisley’s cute little forehead.

  • paisley is a really nice person in real life – glad to see that she’s in the spotlight this week.

  • I love stories of rescue pups and kitties – cheers to Homeward tails and all the other organizations that help people and pets connect. Lucy, you and your AAF pet friends rock. Yay for Paisley and Lyle (who can now root for either the Netherlands or Brazil).

  • Pickles/Lucy has such an interesting angular face (especially noticeable in the Adoptable Animal Fix from August 2013: ). I wonder if she has some Oriental/Siamese in her…
