  • Aw! Gary Condit’s old building.

    • So funny. That was my first thought too! Used to walk past the media every morning for what felt like months.

  • Too expensive, but actually a good deal in this market.

  • Nasty carpet, run down interior, but location is everything. Decent deal.

  • Good deal. Its hard to get a true one bedroom at that price point in the area, and that location — walking distance to Rock Creek Park, Woodley, Columbia Heights and Adams Morgan is fantastic.

  • Not a bad deal. I looked at an apartment in this building with the same floor plan as this one last year, but passed because I hated the tiny closed-off kitchen, which was smaller than the kitchen my studio apartment. It’s It’s a nice building though, and a sweet location.

  • The kitchen sink looks miserable to use, but I’m seriously jealous of the full size W/D.
Is a full certified check security deposit with the application common?? 20+ years as a tenant and I’ve never had to do that anywhere. Besides an application fee, it seems like something more appropriate to bring to a lease signing. I’m not questioning this landlord’s motives, but in general I’d be afraid that my check would get deposited, I would NOT get the apartment, and then have to fight (or at least wait) for my money to be returned.

  • It may be nasty carpet, but someone has impressive vacuuming skills!

  • Excellent location. Carpets were a deal breaker when I was looking at apartments, but I probably would have given this a second look. Kitchen is sad but manageable. I’d call this an ‘acceptable’ price given how crappy the unit is to how good the location is.
