Cancer Fundraiser for DC Fashion Stylist Tara Papanicolas:
“This past May, PoP posted about my friends cancer fundraiser dance party at Flash.
It was the second event our close friends put together in an effort to raise awareness about the rare cancer she discovered last September. The fundraisers were also an effort to help her with her mounting medical bills.
Watching her appearance transform with her chemo and radiation I was inspired to do a photo shoot of her. Here is a link to view part of the shoot.
The images have captivated and inspired many so it got me to thinking that perhaps others going through a similar experience may want portrait of themselves like this. So they can remember this time as not one of being sick but of transformation. Transformation can be beautiful.
Going one step further, I created a t-shirt campaign to raise money for Tara.
