  • Looks like it’s the street side instead of the alley side and on Calvert Street that means noisy. The sound generated by the woo-hoo crowds on their way the Metro is quite loud.

    • Not to mention, traffic is backed up at all hours of the day on eastbound Calvert right in front of this place, so you get horns honking, loud trucks/buses, and lots and lots of exhaust dirtying up your air. You’d never be able to open your windows. I’m not sure what genius move DDOT made at the 18th and Columbia intersection that caused this, but its been a huge mess for a couple of years now.

      • it’s kind of small, but the noise is not as bad as you would think. people pass right by and then done. and it’s very close to the metro. plus the kitchen’s pretty good looking. i don’t think it’s really that overpriced.

      • I think it’s the light at Adams Mill for east bound. It just creates backup.

  • This is extremely over-priced! The kitchen is nice but the fit and finish of the rest of the unit looks shoddy, it’s not central air, and it doesn’t have in-unit laundry. I pay about $400 less a block away for a comparable place.

  • How do you fit a bedroom in a 428 square foot apartment? Either it’s the size of a closet, or this is one of those “junior” one bedrooms (aka a studio). Looks like a decent place but overpriced for that size.

  • 428 square feet is not even junior 1br territory. i don’t care if you love this neighborhood, this building, work next door, etc. there are no circumstances under which someone should pay that for this.

  • Yikes, do people really pay that much for 428 sq. ft, no in-unit laundry, and no central air in Adam’s Morgan? I mean, the place looks fine, but not $2,300 fine. The ad is also silent on whether any utilities are included. Super bad deal if you have to pay for your own electricity.

  • $2300 for 428 square feet and there’s not even laundry in-unit?

  • Awful deal for such a tiny place. You can get a large 550 sq foot studio in the buildings along 16th Street at Meridian park for $1350-1500, utilities included.

  • For the folks talking about rents in yesterday’s R+R, this one’s for you.

    That said, I can’t believe this will probably rent for this much.

  • A joke. Small. No parking, desk, or roof deck. Basically no building amenities. Nice renovation. Radiator heat trumps “central air”, with 428 sf, all you need is the window unit.

  • That is the most ridiculous price I have ever seen. I cannot imagine anyone doing any kind of diligence paying that price.

  • It’s a good building and location, but despite the refurb that’s too expensive for one of this building’s smaller units.

  • Uh, I have a large English basement on Calvert that’s a true one bedroom, has lots of large windows/light, and my rent is 2/3 that cost. And that includes my own washer dryer, utilities, cable, internet, etc. Major rip off.
