Ed. Note: This rental was picked and preloaded before word of the shooting. Just a bad coincidence.

  • Left-Handed wipe on the toilet. Deal breaker.

    • What do you mean, “left-handed wipe”? I don’t see any toilet paper holder mounted, either on the left or on the right.

  • Kind of an intriguing layout for a studio. Do the stairs on the patio go to a shared roof?

    • I suspect the stairs are basically a fire escape that they’ve covered with chain-link fencing (or something similar) to prevent random people accessing it (and thus the units) from outside.

  • hmm, pretty sure the studios at City Market and perhaps 7th flats are going for about the same maybe a hundred more which I’d be willing to pay for a gym and pool.

    • I checked on Bozzuto’s website, and the cheapest available studio at City Market is currently $1781 for 407 square feet.

      • 566 sq ft at $1650 isn’t too far a cry from that. And I’d be surprised if the City Market folks aren’t gonna be serving up some deals (e.g., first month free rent, etc.) that would bring that down to be almost comparable with the $1650.

        • @ ash- if you do the math on it, you’re getting 40% more space for 8% less money. I would take the bigger apt and get a membership to Vida.

    • The studios at city market which are on the lower range aren’t going to have the private outdoor space which could be highly desireable (even if it is tiny looking).

      • well, it isn’t so much outdoor space as a fire escape. but City Market at O does have a rooftop terrace. different’ strokes I suppose, but for my money I would spring for the amenities and a brand new unit.

  • The bathroom sink looks like a laundry/utility sink. Somebody actually chose this on purpose??

  • Why hasn’t the owner converted this to a true one bedroom? It’s plenty big and could have the required windows in both rooms. I’ve lived in one bedroom apartments smaller than this.

  • I would love this. Wish i wasn’t in the middle of a lease, tbh.

  • Seems bizarre that the ad touts is “open floor plan” like that’s something special. Isn’t that kind of the definition of a studio?

    • This has a bit more of a lofty feel than a traditional studio. I sort of like this better than if they chopped it up into a 1BR, since the entire place gets a lot of light. The wall for a bedroom would limit the amount of light in the kitchen and living area.

  • Actually pretty nice for a studio – lots of windows, nicely renovated. Seems reasonably priced for this area. And yes, the studios nearby at O st market or off shaw metro are probably $100-$200 more per month, for smaller units, so its a question of whether you prefer a larger space or more amenities. I would choose the larger space – when i lived in hirise buildings with gyms and other amenities in the past, in reality i rarely ever used any of it.
