  • This really looks more like a studio with a sun room than a junior 1br. I just found an 800 square ft. 1 br (with a proper bedroom) in a much better location for $50 less. This seems like a pretty bad deal.

    • How did you find it? craigslist is a nightmare.

      • Also, where is the “better location”? Might not be a better location for everybody.

        • In Kalorama! I actually found it on craigslist and immediately pounced on it. I’d been casually looking for about a year and a half and this was by far the best deal I’d ever seen. I was worried there was going to be some horrific catch, but I’ve been there for a month now and still haven’t found anything wrong with it…fingers crossed it stays that way!

    • What’s the “better location?”

      • I saw the same unit on a different floor when I was apartment hunting a while back – can confirm that the bedroom is actually a sunroom. I really like small spaces when they’re well designed, but this place felt VERY claustrophobic, and the kitchen was a joke.

  • I guess $1700 isn’t awful, but I’m not so sure I’d categorize it as a 1BR. Though, you’d probably be able to find a better deal on a studio in the area.

I’m about 2 blocks away (toward Logan Circle) and pay $2200/month for a true 1BR that’s about 700 sq feet– with a w/d in unit and a pool on the roof.

  • there was an apartment like this on the 7th floor with a view of a brick wall, an outdated bathroom and the kitchen needed to be torn out. It was going for 1900 at first. What a joke.
Not to mention the hallways of this building look like a funeral parlor.
