  • Whoa that’s expensive. Even for Dupont.

  • The market for rentals this expensive in Dupont seems…limited. Diplomats who don’t want to live in Georgetown, I guess.

  • That’s outrageous.

  • Expensive, yes. But in grand home in a great neighborhood — and fully furnished. And it’s very refreshing to see the period furniture for a change, instead of bland mid-century modern everywhere else. I love the back garden with its moss-covered pavers.

  • So $1,875 split four ways. I live down the street and one-bedroom rentals in this area that are of this quality go for around that price (i.e. decent furnishings, relatively newly renovated, etc.). Of course, for a room in a house it’s a bit pricey. There is off-street parking, for which most units would charge around $200/month, a roof deck, a garden with grill, and very nice furnishings, so I guess it would be nice if you had people to split with that you liked and were already looking in the neighborhood. I’d rather get a one-bedroom for a similar price down the street.

    • I think they’re going for a different market all together, as mentioned above. Seems that they are targeting the expense account crowd (World Bank, IMF, diplomats, etc).

  • This is super P R I C E Y! I live a block away in a 5 bedroom 3 bath house that rents out for $6,100 + $500 for the parking spaces out back.
