Thanks to a reader for tweeting us this. Very cool. Travic’s website says:

“This tracker provides movement visualization of transit data published by transit agencies and operators from all over the world. The movements are mostly based on static schedule data. Whenever real-time data is available it is also included in the visualization. The University of Freiburg and geOps reserve the right to modify or discontinue this service at any time.”

  • There are way too few trains running on the green line. Now that we have rush plus, some trains should only tavel between Navy Yard and Fort Totten so that there is less crowding on the most heavily-used corridor.

  • Pretty awesome day, not sure of the accuracy. I just watch the H8 go down the opposite direction on Park Rd with is a one way….

I don’t think it’s accurate. I walked up 14th yesterday and tried to see if the actual buses matched. It might be based on schedule and not the gps data. If they used the gps data, it would be pretty awesome.

  • Oh those Germans must really be laughing hard at us!!!! having been to Germany and experienced their AWESOME transportation network and transit – this is indeed kindergarten stuff to them!
