  • Nice job MPD… Hopefully getting the one will lead to the other…. Lock them up! Sick a holes!

  • Wonderful news! I hate that 7-11! All too often, the employees allow stumble-drunk/high men to stand inside the store directly in front of the register asking everyone that enters and exists for money. “Why are you letting this guy stand here scaring all of your customers?” Dumb look, followed by silence…

    • What’s with the hostility against those who enjoy getting stumble drunk and/or high?

    • I hear you. I go by there all the time. About half of the people asking for money outside of the 7-11 are really nice and do just want some food (so I buy them food). The other half can be a little sketchy at times. In this case, at least based on the video, I don’t think the two men who did the assault were part of the usual crew out front.

  • 7-11 is terrible. That one and the one farther up on 8th in NE. It’s a magnet for the worst elements in the immediate 20-block radius.

    • 8th and Maryland NE?
I stop in there occasionally and have never felt uncomfortable. There is the same guy who is always out front asking for money, but he is always extremely polite. The people inside are usually construction workers grabbing snacks, kids after school, and cat ladies buying pints of Ben and Jerry’s. I guess they can be threatening…
