  • cheeeeeeeeeap

  • it’s already listed as “pending” so someone must have thought it was a good deal.

  • Yeah that is cheap. Awesome location. That 2nd room is tiny though. This could be great for a couple with a kid maybe?

    • No, not so hot for a couple with a kid. The kid’s bedroom is directly off of the living/dining room – separated by a wall made mostly of french doors (e.g. no sound insulation). You’d better have a really good sleeper, or be deaf/mute yourself, because that baby ain’t gettin’ no sleep.

  • Looks like they priced it under market value, and next year they are going to hike up the rent a crazy amount. Why else would they specify that the building is exempt from rent control?

  • Most of the time I’m OK with not having a lot of money. But listings like this sometimes make me sad that I’m probably never going to have enough dough to live in a great place like this (in a great location like this).

Sigh. Workday’s almost over: Back to my noisy non-balconied Petworth apartment for me.

    • Perhaps the workday being almost over at 4:24 is illuminating as to why.

      • That is totally irrelevant. I work about 25-30 hours a week and I own a 7 figure row home in Logan Circle. I realize I am in the minority here, but if you think you have to work 14 hour days to make in DC, you are dead wrong.

  • great deal! I wish i could break my lease and take this (though im sure it was snatched instantly)

  • This place was listed for sale super recently — must have been bought by an investor. I’m surprised they can cover their costs for this rent — i’m pretty sure the asking price was around $500k.

  • 719 sq feet is teeeeeny tiny. I’d say the price is justified.
