  • Pretty good deal for a large, modern 1BR in Dupont. Washer/dryer available? If not, I’d haggle them down to $2200-2250 for the inconvenience.

  • I think the price is fair but would we really consider that a separate dining room? Because I’m pretty sure your table faces your TV.

    • Yeah, that part was hilarious. Separate in the sense that the dining table is not stacked on top of the coffee table?

  • Are utilities included? I make a good salary, but I’d have to take in borders to do things like…eat.

    • $27,600 in yearly rent? Your decent salary is in what part of West Virginia?

I would define decent salary in DC as over $75,000. If you make that you can afford to eat.

      • well maybe Novatronic defines it differently. and for the record, $75k is not “decent” it’s a good salary, even for DC. and someone making that would still be stretching their budget to afford this place.

  • The price is irrelevant. The ceiling is painted bright green. Could not live with that every day.

  • Aaaahhhh…the glow from that ceiling would keep me awake at night!

  • Why GREEN? An environmentalist with delusions of dining rooms? Nice apartment . I’m not sure that I could live with that ceiling though.

Wow – so much interior fail. Neon green ceiling that spills down the wall, faux-marble paint on the other walls, the really awkward exposed brick in the kitchen, the Canadian tuxedo of wood floor and wood cabinets…. it’s literally a set from a 90’s sit-com.

    • agreed. it should be beige.

i know this is very hard for people to understand, but some of us actually like some color in our lives. there is not just one kind of taste out there.

      • It’s certainly true that there’s more than one kind of taste out there… but a bright green ceiling greatly reduces the pool of potential renters.

I actually love color; I can’t stand an all white apartment. But this place is a color mess. Sponge paint on 1 wall, 1 shade of green on the ceiling, another shade on the wall – it looks like someone grabbed whatever was in the bargain bin at Home Depot.

  • I really like the stainless steel appliances and hardwood flooring but the green ceiling is really too much – I just could not live with a color that bright and intrusive!
