  • I looked at a very similar one in this complex a few years ago. It was a bit out of our price range. I didn’t love the steps into the unit (seemed they’d be slippery in rain or ice) and my wife wanted a little more square footage and a washer and dryer not in the kitchen (some folks might see that as convenient though!).

I’d say it’s a pretty good deal. Close to the red and green lines and a lot of buses, near the zoo, zoned for decent schools (though who knows how that will change), with parking and a reasonable condo fee.

  • Looks very builder-grade to me, but considering what things are selling for in MtP these days? They’ll probably get that, if not more.

  • It looks like one level is below ground but the building is on a hillside, so it’s not entirely in the dark. A full basement unit would cost less, a full above ground would cost more. I don’t know that I’d want to be built into a hillside if that’s the site.

  • I think those guys left the neighborhood years ago. The open air drug market down at 18th & Monroe, and around Bancroft is a think of the past, thankfully.
