  • I’d say this is a decent deal. A bit much for being on the unit block of NY Ave, but you’re steps to the 5th and K safeway and NoMa is a stone’s throw the other way.

  • Too bad they’ve removed every ounce of character that apartment once had.

  • it’s in good condition, and I doubt you’d be able to find something that nice, that close to the metro for less. maybe in some of the northern parts of Columbia Heights or Petworth for around the same price.

It’s certainly cheap, but as with most things, it’s for a reason. Older building, and your next door neighbors are Big Ben Liquors and Sarsum Corda.

I’d say it’s priced about right. You are close to a lot of good things to do, even if the immediate blocks surrounding the area kind of suck. Just be careful when walking home!

    • It’s “Sursum” Corda (latin for “lift up your heart”).

Is a laundry roo like a kangaroo covered in blankets and stuff? I want one

  • This unit is for sale, I noticed it on trulia last night. So it might not be a good choice if you’re looking for a long-term rental.

  • interesting. i pass this building almost every day, have always wondered what the units were like, the exterior has a lot of charm. i wouldn’t be wild about living on always-noisy ny ave, but then again i lived on north cap for 2 years and learned to deal. i think it’s a pretty good deal.
