PGPD Charges Khalil Tatum, Person of Interest in Disappearance of 8 Year Old Relisha Rudd, with Oxon Hill Murder

“The Prince George’s County Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 51-year-old Kahlil Malik Tatum, of the 2500 block of N Street in Southeast Washington. Tatum is wanted for the murder of his wife, 51-year-old Andrea Denise Tatum also of N Street, Southeast Washington. The victim was discovered in a motel room in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

At about 8:00 am Thursday, patrol officers were asked to respond to the motel to assist the Metropolitan Police Department in its search for a missing eight-year-old girl, Relisha Tenau Rudd. While at the motel, the patrol officers discovered Tatum suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Department continues to search for the girl, whom authorities believe may be in the company of Kahlil Tatum. If you see her or have any information on her whereabouts, please call 911 or 202-727-9099. All questions about the missing girl should be directed to the MPD.

The PGPD recovered a pick-up truck that was unoccupied and parked in the 1600 block of Eastern Avenue in Chapel Oaks on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at about 7 pm. The truck was mentioned in the MPD Amber Alert.
