“Magic Realist Paintings by Kathryn Freeman are up at the Jane Haslem Gallery 2025 Hillyer Place, Dupont Circle until March 31st. The show includes a series of moon lit interiors, one of which is inspired by the childrens’ poem “Goodnight Moon”. Also, “Moon River”, inspired by the song, and “Rabbit Summer”, inspired by garden consuming rabbits. There is also a room filled with paintings called “Stories from the Woods” which will make you look forward to hiking in Rock Creek Park when spring finally comes. If you want to bring the kids- have them count the animals in the paintings. hint- the count to date is 41!”
