“Metrobus service will transition from the current “severe” snow plan to a “moderate” snow service plan, starting at 10:30 a.m. today.  The moderate service level means that buses will operate more frequently and on more routes.

Only bus routes listed as part of the moderate snow plan will operate EXCEPT:

  • B8, H6, R1, 26A and 29K routes continue to be suspended until further notice due to road conditions.
  • Commuter bus routes Z11, Z13, 17-Line, 18-Line, 21A, 29C, 29E, 29X will not operate at all today.

Under the moderate snow plan, many routes have established detours that keep buses off of hilly terrain, narrow side streets and other problem areas.  Riders can get details and check maps showing the planned detours by using the links below:

Bus routes not listed in the moderate snow plan will not operate.

  • Oh well – that is convenient especially since I had to be at work by 10! (grumble)

  • Metrobus has been useless this morning, and the new schedule doesn’t improve service to my neighborhood by a whit. I’m looking forward to another 2-mile-walk down unshoveled sidewalks. Ugh.

  • The 16th St S-line was horrible yet again this morning. I arrived at my stop at Euclid St. at 10:20am. 6 buses came by during the 30 minutes I was there. The first bus allowed 7 people on. The other 5 buses were full and continued on. I finally used Uber at 1.25x their normal rate (a bargain compared to the 2.75x they were charging at 10am). A car picked me up in literally one minute, and we passed 2 of the buses that had passed me up earlier. I love Uber!
