  • That is not a 1 bedroom! That is a studio with a glass wall!
But still the price is reasonable, but those HOAs are kinda high. Unless they include electricity/gas.

    • “That is not a 1 bedroom! That is a studio with a glass wall!”
That’s why they’ve used the term “junior one-bedroom.”

      • For a junior 1 BR, don’t you still have to have a separate room with a window and a closet? I though the “jr.” was there just because of size.

        • No…there are some other buildings with similar layouts, like the Valley View in Adams-Morgan that call this a junior one bedroom. In other cities, a junior 1 bedroom means something different, like no distinct dining area except a pass through that can be used as a bar.

Studio or efficiency might be a better description, although all are pretty meaningless.

The price is actually not bad for the location, but the condo fee is high (one reason for the low price).

  • seems priced about right. did they really stage it without anywhere to eat?

  • This unit is actually closer to 500 square feet (not 600). Still, good building. I’m surprised they didn’t show the roof, which is kind of great, or the closets, which are quite large compared to the size of the unit. There are also interesting art deco features that they could have shown off (the peephole on the door to the unit is interesting, and if the bath is unrenovated — which is what it looks like — the bath has cool, old school faucets; not exactly big “Deal makers,” but why not show pictures of these little features?).

And, yea, it’s a junior one bedroom. The 1 bed/1 bath description was a classic PoP slip up.

  • I’m surprised they didn’t include any photos of the bathroom. I’m also surprised that they didn’t add any closet rods (which I’m assuming had been subtracted by this owner or a previous owner) before labeling the small room with the dresser as a “walk-in closet.”
That is definitely one minuscule kitchen. Years ago, I looked at a junior one-bedroom in this building with an almost identical layout, except the owner (or a previous owner) had put in a sort of L-shaped kitchen, with the stove perpendicular to the sink and fridge.

  • Years ago my ex-partner’s best friend was a male escort and operated out of this building. One time we were on vacation and all were going out and he said he was staying home. “No sex for me, I’m on vacation.”

  • I love those glass doors off of the bedroom.
