Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 3-4 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit.

“This is Mr. Tooth of Adams Morgan, trying to stay warm during the most recent cold snap.”

“Maggie the aussiedoodle is not sure what to think of the clothing gift from her aunt!”

“This is Goober from Logan Circle. (His owner just got back from an overseas trip and Goober insists that he should be allowed to go the next time.Of course he doesn’t realize that he is 24 lbs and takes over a whole suitcase)”

  • These are all lovely… but a 24-pound cat? My goodness, that’s big! He looks like a bundle of joy.

    • As the owner of the giant – yes 24 is very big. I’ve been trying for a while now to lower his weight since I am the one who overfed him but he is also about 3.5 feet long when he stretches out and he can run and leap and is very strong. So I am thankful he is active. He is indeed a bundle of joy – endless amusement for me and my neighbors – he plays fetch, waits for people by the elevator, plays with water, leaps into the air to try and ring people’s doorbells etc. We don’t know what to make of him but he makes us all smile 🙂

      • He’s awesome. But I think you’re misinterpreting. As a fluent speaker of Cat, I’m hearing “Never ever do that do me again, and to make sure that you can’t, I’m commandeering your go-away-box. Also, this is a box and is therefore mine, abandonment notwithstanding.”
