  • “Sale may be subject to lease and/or right of first refusal held by another.”
Hold on – is someone actually renting out and living in the second floor of that bldg?!?! That’s usually what first right of refusal means in DC.

  • For that price I’d buy it and turn it into a single family home, then I’d sit on the front porch yelling at everyone to “quiet down!”. Ridiculous for a shell without a liquor license and an existing tennant lease.

  • I believe the location where that beauty bar is opening is where Sisterspace Books used to be located. I miss that place.

As for State of the Union, formerly the heart of the U Street music scene, it’s sad that the space has gone unused for so long and that it is unlikely to become a music venue again with that steep $2.2 million price tag.

  • It may help to sell if they got rid of the homeless that have turned this spot into their home. I understand everyone needs a place to stay but the homeless that use this spot as a home have really destroyed it. Last piece on the block that looks like a tornado hit it.

  • weird but the For Sale sign seems to be on Republic Garden
