Video of Suspects Sought in Friday Morning Carjacking in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Ave, SE

“The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating several persons of interest in reference to an armed carjacking that occurred in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE.

On Friday, October 4, 2013 at approximately 8:23 am, four suspects drove to a gas station in a black 2001-2002 Mercedes 500 Series, parked it in front the victim’s vehicle, and gained access to the vehicle before struggling with its owner and then fleeing in the Mercedes.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 18-22 years of age, light complexion, 5’5″ in height, medium build, and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a red design and khaki pants. He was armed with a small pocket knife.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 18-22 years of age, dark complexion, 5’8″ in height, and slim build. He was last seen wearing a two- tone grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun with a dark grip.

The third suspect is described as an unknown male and remained seated in the rear of the suspect vehicle.

The fourth suspect is described as an unknown male and remained seated in the rear of the suspect vehicle.

Anyone with information that can assist in the identification of this subject is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent offense, including robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.”
