Too far away from my zone to know about the rental market, but I love all the framing details and symmetry between the doors / moldings / etc.

For a home in an upscale neighborhood, those are some truly terrible photos. Here’s a door, here’s another door, here’s another door, and here’s the same door again! Here are multiple shots of a bed. Here’s part of a car! No sense of what a room looks like or the layout.

  • I’m really curious as to whether they can rent it for that much. Seems like a lot.

  • I live near this place (on the other side of 16th) and this house has been for sale for ages…they must have finally decided to rent it out. The rent sounds high…but it is Crestwood. My bigger question is why, priced below a million in that neighborhood, it didnt sell.

  • That price is bonkers I think. Been sitting on the market for ages at a time when correctly priced offerings move in a week or two. Also, Upshur is a busy cut-through path, probably the busiest in Crestwood. Last, while a couple of pockets of Crestwood are arguably upscale, most is definitely not. It’s nice enough, but an order of magnitude below the city’s upscale neighborhoods in polish, per capita income, an freedom from city ills like burglaries.

Don’t get me wrong: many of these places have great details and rock solid construction, and rich potential. But there’s been a LOT of “deferred maintenance” in this neighborhood, probably in this house. That rent seems high.
