There aren’t many photos, and the ones that are reveal a really outdated interior. So basically, how much is 3,000 sqft of needs-to-be-renovated space worth to you? Based on the location I would say the $336 / sqft might actually be a deal.

  • Oh, I love that block!

  • Super duper cool. Reminds me of weird, re-purposed places you’d find in Europe. 3000 sq ft is BIG. You could pay off your renovation costs by building a 1000 sq foot separate residence and sell that off, keep 2000 sq. ft to yourself. Add a pop-up and you’d have even more. Definitely an interesting living situation that would require and architect to make it shine.

  • Almost a million dollars, and the pics they show are of a hoarder’s paradise? Not a good deal in my opinion.

    • agree. and none of the info lines up either, different square footage listed in different places, says 3beds in one place, 4 in another. crappy, unflattering pics, 2 of which are doubles. and the listing says they are selling as is, aka, if something is wrong they aren’t fixing it. fixer-uppers don’t come with million dollar price tags usually either. everything about this says ‘buyer beware’.

Saying “As Is” is explicitly saying “Buyer Beware”. Also, 3000 square foot properties to come along often in Capitol Hill, regardless of condition.

  • i lived in that alley in the mid-90s. it’s a GREAT location! that place isn’t for me, but i don’t think it’s a bad deal, for the location.

  • I like the area, but outside pic displays “rustique” at best, while melamine-Formica cabinetry, well, it is expecting rather much.

  • I wonder if it smells as good as it looks.
