“Douglas Development announced that it has signed two leases with the New York-based entrepreneurial hub, WeWork, which projects opening its first two Washington, DC locations before the end of the year. WeWork will occupy 32,903 square feet in the historic Wonder Bread Factory, located at 641 S Street, NW; and 21,350 square feet at 718 7th Street, NW in Chinatown.

WeWork meticulously scouts cities for premier locations to open contemporary, custom-designed workspaces where startups, small businesses and creative professionals can interact and collaborate in one space.

WeWork empowers the success of its members by providing beautiful workspace, accessible services and collaborative community. Members enjoy perks like exclusive access to networking events and speakers, office amenities like high speed Internet, conference rooms, kitchens stocked with coffee and beer, and more.

Originally built in 1913, Douglas Development’s newly redeveloped Wonder Bread Factory building offers a unique, class A loft-style environment with 82,000 rental square feet. The four-story property includes private terraces, underground parking, high ceilings, large glass windows, exposed brick and wood beam ceiling system, and an abundance of natural light. “
