  • I think $1100 per person might be a bit steep. I walk by these houses every day on my way home from the metro and they are tiny and across the street from ugly industrial buildings. They are very close to the metro and Harris Teeter, but other than that, not much else. I would expect to pay that for a nicely redone house in this location, but this does not fit the bill.

  • Seems like a decent deal but only because of the parking. Does the cat at the top of the stairs in the pictures convey?

  • Dear god, this much in NoMa? Pack it in, everybody. Shit’s too expensive.

  • Not a horrible deal.

  • I have a friend who lives on same street with same sized house. They are not big at all so it is definitely “cozy” for even 2 people. The only thing it really has going for it is location. But when you factor in all the utilities for a place like this, which I’m assuming is not included at all, true cost is more more. Street parking is only plentiful after 5pm. During the weekday, it is crazy.

This place is in a good spot for the summer, though. HT and metro have been mentioned, Union Market is 2 blocks away, Union Kitchen is at the end of the block, and the Noma Summer Screen series is just around the corner.

  • Compared to the price of 1BR apartments in the area (~$2,000), this is a pretty good price per bedroom. Very close to the metro and Harris Teeter, not to mention the new Giant on H St. With new restaurants like TD Burger and Indigo just opening nearby, they should have no problem renting this out.

I could have sworn last week the heart of DC was about 20 blocks west of this. And the week before it was 20 blocks north of that…
