  • I personally wouldn’t want to live there, but it seems like a decent deal.

  • I checked this place out when they were finishing construction 2 years ago. Not worth it, if you consider a 15 minute walk “close to metro” then yes. Petworth and Shaw are probably just as far. It’s a hike. On top of that, I think the closest Supermarket is the one at Columbia Heights, the Giant, but someone correct me if I’m wrong.

    • gotryit

I used to live around the corner, and it was quite quick to hop on a 70/79 bus or CaBi down to the Shaw Metro.

      • sssshhhh. don’t let people know about the buses.

        • It has more to do with the fact that for the price that this is selling for (close to half a mil), the idea of having to take a bus to get to a train station, and then taking the train seems kinda….lame, I guess is the word. And this is coming from someone who took DC buses up until maybe ’03. Since then it’s been primarily metro rail. It’s a hassle, and not worth the price considering it’s in the city.

          Bad deal.

    • It’s just over a half mile to CH metro. I can walk it in 10 minutes, or bike it in less than five. I don’t know if this is a good deal or not, but I know I love living in the neighborhood here.

    • It’s a 7 minute walk. Unless you walk reeeeeeaaaaaal slow.

  • $512.50 per square foot in that area? Err, no.

  • 800 sq ft for a two bed room seems awfully small.

  • Pics of the mailboxes? Looks very small, although it’s nice to have a balcony if a place is small. I have almost this much square footage in a 1 br. definitely too small for a 2 bedroom.

    • It’s a roof terrace shared with the rest of the building. If that price included a private terrace, I would say it’s a deal. But the whole point of having a private outdoor space is for me to be able to walk out of my kitchen onto a terrace in my bathrobe. I will under-utilize a shared terrace/
