  • That’ll definitely sell, especially with the separate unit in the basement. I think we’ve expressed a bit of shock here before about houses on this side of Florida going for as much as they are, but the price seems pretty on point for the size and renos. They made some weird choices in the kitchen (why not carry the wood floors throughout and make that a breakfast bar rather than a hallway with no wall?) and I can’t wait for the vessel sink trend to die, but other than that, that’s a great deal for the space, location and craftsmanship. I’m loving the balcony.

  • No way that house will sell for that price. Maybe if it was a block off Florida but there is way too much traffic on that street. It looks like a great reno but it’ll go for under $900,000.

  • Kitchen layout is terrible. Makes me wonder about decisions made in other parts of the house.

  • Almost a million dollars, but they couldn’t get the neighbors to mow their lawn still.

  • Is that house really 1750 sq ft per floor? It doesn’t look especially wide.

  • Kitchen is too small/strange. Bathroom w/ tub is generic. Should’ve included pics of the rental unit. Def. not a good deal for that neighborhood.

    • I think the last few pics are of the rental unit — there’s a kitchen(ette?) waaaaaay back in that one shot and that flooring seems to continue to the pics following.

  • $50 says this sells significantly under asking. Nobody’s that stupid …

  • Seems like a lot of wasted space with the horrid open floorplan. For example, what does one do with that space between the kitchen and living room? There are two chairs there facing what I presume to be a powder room or steps to the basement. Would anyone actually sit there? It’s just dumb, IMHO.

  • OK now I believe in UFOs cuz this shit is out of this world.

  • Why does anyone built an island like that? With the one raised side that prevents people from being able to work on both sides. I have one like that – and am getting ready to take a sledgehammer to it. Makes no sense.

  • wow, I hate the look of this place, and would never spend $1m personally on anything that looks like this. on top of that, has Union Market really changed that stretch of Florida Ave so much that fancy houses in this location really sell in the seven-figures range? i haven’t been on that stretch of Florida in the last 6 months or so, but in the spring it seemed as sketchy/dangerous as I had remembered from years ago.
