  • -1 for the washer/dryer combo. Patooey!

Great location, but damned if that doesn’t seem a lot smaller than the advertised 622 sq ft. Kitchen is tiny and I agree with the comment re: bad washer/dryer combo taking up half of the space. But the price is pretty much in line with what 1-beds in the area are going for these days.

    • uh, yeah. my condo is 620 sq ft and i have a separate washer/dryer NOT located in the kitchen, my bathroom appears to be much larger than that (my vanity is much, much bigger), and i have a room in the dining area for a rectangular table and 6 chairs.

it looks like the bathroom is off the bedroom too, which could be awkward for any overnight guests who would be sleeping in the living room/couch.

i’d guess this is more like 550 sq ft.

    • It’s the big “California Closet” that probably shrinks everything else. Actually, i once owned a 600 sf unit with a big closet and it seemed bigger than this.

  • I’m not impressed with that closet at all, quite frankly. Also agree the location of the washing machine is a poor choice (not to mention the fact that is’a combo).

  • Looks very small and cramped. The washer/dryer combo in the kitchen is super awkward, why would you not just put it in a closet? Definitely agree that it looks smaller than advertised.

    • I agree that it is tacky, but it is probably there because it costs a fortune to get water and ventilation into a closet. The kitchen is already wired for it.

  • Yeah, there’s a reason it’s a California walk-in closet. When you live in a state full of sprawl you have room for such things!

  • looks very nice actually especially for the price. haters gonna hate

  • Why does the bedroom have French doors? Not much privacy if you have guests.

  • The kitchen is small, awkwardly laid out, and lacking in counter space. I also hate the French doors into the bedroom and that guests have to traipse through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. As someone who’s looking into upgrading from a studio to a one-bedroom, I think part of the appeal is that my bedroom won’t be quite so “public” anymore; those two factors kind of negate that aspect. Plus the combo washer/dryer is a drawback. Not that great of a deal, in my humble and far from expert opinion.

  • That’s tiny….it looks to be about the size of a JR 1 BDR the now hubby and I lived in during grad school.

    • As others have said, the huge closet takes up a lot of space.

My previous place was a 580-square-foot one-bedroom — less square footage than this space, but better layout and thus a more spacious feel.
