  • Any recommendations for what to order at Flip It? We live around the corner and have enjoyed their breakfasts, but didn’t notice much in terms of baked goods… what am I missing?

  • I stopped in once at the georgia ave place for a bagel, and it was a pre-cut frozen bagel. From a bakery. I haven’t been back since.

  • Great, now I have “Whip It” by Devo stuck in my head. Thanks PoPville!

  • I love the Flip It on Georgia Av. They have a great BLT and my wife swears the tuna salad is the best in the city. She is a picky eater too.

I like their cookies and donuts too. The last time I was in there, the cookies had just come out of the oven.

I have tried their Strawberry Shortcake Cake based upon a recommendation, but wasn’t that impressed. I agree they could step it up in the cake department. Otherwise, all good!

  • I live down the block and been in all if the places on park. Be careful the bodega had mold you can smell when you walk in. Bought a pack of cigarettes got home an opened them and yet had mold on them. Might be the whole block.

Cannot wait till park is all redeveloped and cleaned up. So much trash in that area is let all over the place. Such a good spot that the locals treat horribly.

  • Is the sideways photo in this post a play on the bakery’s name?

  • We love Flip-It on Georgia Avenue for a hearty breakfast at a very reasonable price, and have never been disappointed. The smoothies are good too.

  • Glad for one fewer vacant storefront on this block– will this be Flip It Thrice? 🙂

  • Flip -IT has tasty food but needs to learn presentation, especially when it comes to their DElI style sandwiches. When I prepare a sandwich at home I make it appear more appetising than Flip-It.
