  • Very cool. I guess that riddim fruit is catching on in the health food community.

  • If Greg, the owner of The Greek Spot, is involved, you can count me in. Greg is my pick for best businessman on the U Street Strip.

  • Yeah- I knew it was only a matter of time before we got one. Hopefully they will also be organic. A raw juice bar that doesn’t only use organic produce is useless….also crossing my fingers for Norwalk extraction…

    • I hope that they only make juice from responsibly-grown riddim fruit that is harvested in countries where harmful pesticides are not used. While it is not widely cultivated in North America at this time, organically-grown, pesticide-free riddim fruit is imported from some Central American countries at this time.

  • Interesting. I think it’ll do well.

Side note: Lovely Yogurt next door may have the nicest staff in the District. Their sign (“we serving yogurt”) always cracks me up.

  • Riddim is the Jamaican Patois pronunciation of the English word “rhythm,” but in dancehall/reggae parlance it refers to the instrumental accompaniment to a song.
