From Ben Evans of Hellbender Brewing Co:

“Never Mind the Bollekes” will have a release date of May 29 [from 4pm on] at Iron Horse in Chinatown [507 7th Street, NW]. There will be another release event the following evening at Meridian Pint [May 30th 5pm on at 11th and Park Rd, NW]. Hellbender’s Patrick Mullane, the head brewer of Lost Rhino, Favio Garcia, and myself [Ben Evans] will all be at the events to briefly talk about the beer before it is tapped. There are a total of about 20-25 kegs coming into DC, and they will be available only at about 7 other bars starting May 30 following the first two releases.

A “bolleke” is the type of Belgian beer glass that this style is typically served in there, and the name is a play on the iconic “Sex Pistols” album. It will not likely be served in a bolleke.

A Belgian Pale Ale, “Never Mind the Bollekes” pours a deep amber/mahogany color. It has a raisiny malt flavor with a clean, slightly fruity finish from a Belgian yeast strain originating from Antwerp. A heavy hand with the wheat malt provides substantial body to this 5.5% ABV pale ale. “Bollekes” has a low level of bittering hops for the style, but we added a large dose of Sterling and Willamette hops at the very end of the boil to give it a bright, floral flavor and aroma without the bittering.

After the initial two releases, the beer will be available at the discretion of the bar managers at Pizzeria Paradiso in Gtown, Granville Moore, Big Hunt, Churchkey, Kangaroo Boxing Club, Capital Lounge, Lounge 201.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
