From a press release:

Dive into summer early with a splash! VIDA Fitness’ Penthouse Pool Club kicks off its 2013 pool season on Saturday, April 27, which promises an event-filled summer with themed happy hours, rooftop dining and poolside celebrations. Award-winning chef Michael Schlow has been retained by Urban Adventures Companies, Inc. (UAC) to create and design a new food and beverage menu. Schlow’s cuisine will feature tasty appetizers and small plates, hearty salads, artisan sandwiches and wraps and healthy juices, smoothies and shakes. UAC newly designated an onsite full-service prep kitchen where Schlow’s culinary eats will be cooked and prepared fresh daily. Michael Schlow is executive chef and owner of seven prized restaurants in the northeast and recognized as one of the leading chefs in the United States.

Located on the rooftop of VIDA Fitness-U Street at 1612 U Street, NW, the 12,000-square-foot member-only pool club and lounge features a highly-stylized atmosphere that includes a 60-foot pool, private sun deck, resort cabanas, communal fire pits and a membership lounge. VIDA Fitness is currently accepting applications for a limited number of Penthouse Pool Club memberships, which are obtainable on a space available basis.

Penthouse members can also reserve customized rooftop spaces and host private events with food and beverage options from a specialized catering menu designed by Chef Michael Schlow. The Pool Club can accommodate groups of up to 299 and is available for functions from small gatherings to large receptions. Ideal for birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, fundraisers or business functions, the Penthouse event space options include the Pool Deck, Poolside VIP Area, Adams Morgan View or the secluded Sun Deck on the fourth level terrace.

The Penthouse Pool Club is designed to look and feel like an urban oasis where guests and members can socialize and unwind in a sophisticated setting while appreciating panoramic capital views. The rooftop club sports ten private cabanas and one larger VIP cabana, which are punctuated with custom Moroccan fixtures floating over large crimson beds surrounding the pool. Continuing the Moroccan theme are platinum colored lounge chairs with thick red cushions, and red and white zebra print daybeds all situated on top of synthetic green grass. At night the Penthouse mood is enhanced with glowing stone fire pits and changing colored lighting that illuminate the pool waters.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
