The right dining table can make or break a space – it’s one of those mysterious furniture items that can be strangely hard to get right, and I’m not sure why. Today’s post offers up a few sizes and styles to get you started. Try shabby mismatched chairs with that farm table, or brightly colored fiberglass shell chairs with the tulip-based one, and those avocado chairs (last listing) could be well worth the trouble if you’re willing to trek to PA!
Happy Hunting!
$125 – Small Farm Table
$125 – Vintage Formica Table + 2 Chairs
$250 – Mid Century Table + Leaf
$280 – Mid Century Tulip Table
$350 – Outdoor White Tulip Table

  • Hi Ellen, do you know anything about taking classes to learn how to re-upholster furniture in the District? There’s a lot of good, cheap finds on CL that could be spectacular if they were refinished and reupholstered. 🙂

    • Hmmm…I’m not super familiar with any, but I’ve heard that G Street Fabrics gives classes (??). I agree, CL has tons of great stuff that just needs a little love!
