Dear PoPville,
Last night at about 7:30 in the 1100 block of Park Rd NW, this very well fed young lab ran up to me and my dog while we were on a walk. She’s super friendly. Unfortunately she only had a chain collar with a make-shift leash attached, no tags. I called DC animal control who said they’d scan her for a microchip but also seemed confident she’d be claimed. She was very thirsty when I brought her so may have traveled far. She’s super sweet and someone must be missing her terribly.
Update: “I just got off the phone with the NY Ave shelter and she was microchipped and they found her owner who is picking her up today. Her name is Pepper. :-) ”
